Oooooh, in kodachrome no less! Sure, they show a little ford/mercury but no new Plymouths or CB&Q...nice anyway though!
Thank you ChooChoo Dennis,
Great movie of the '39-'40 World's Fair.
My parents told my brother and I that they had attended the 1939-40 N.Y.S. World's Fair and said the sights were amazing and beautiful and that they had a great time, there.
When, the 1964 N.Y.S. World's Fair was in full swing, I never attended it, as I was in the U.S. Navy at the time, on active duty, but by 1980-89, I worked in the area and saw the old Fair grounds many a times, with still some of the original buildings of the '39/'40/'64 World's Fair.
Of the '80's time period, the old Fair grounds was now only a large park open to the general public.
There, was only a zoo of domesticated animals, a science museum, with an exhibit of old rocket ship tail sections on its' outdoor grounds, other exhibits in some of the original buildings, a Merry Go Round and the Uni-sphere water fountain.

I was particularly thrilled to see the S-1 on it's famous treadmill in action. I never thought that would happen.
Also cool to see the other rail exhibits particularly the Dreyfuss Hudson and I was tickled by the exuberant dancers at the stage show.
With Kodachrome, it's the next best thing to being there!
Yeah, that lil yellow cushman{?} I saw twice was neat too.
I tried to backtrack thru that site for reels 1 and 2 but didn't easily see them...did find one of the Chicago expo where they had some late in the show CB&Q equipment...100 years of railroad...I'd put the link up but all the good stuff really comes in at the last 4-5min of the 30ish real.
BTW- was I the only one who had no sound?
Too bad the cameraman didn't pan further to the right. The N&W Class A 1206 was sitting right behind the Dreyfus Hudson. There is a picture for sale on ebay showing 1206 in all of her World's Fair glory.

I have a video that was released in the eighties called...I can't quite think of the name, but I think it was "Streamliner to Yesteryear" (or yesterday?) that had a lot of color footage of pre-war streamliners, including excellent color footage at the fair. Not sure if it was ever released on DVD?
