2 command bases anyone?

No, do not run more than one TMCC/Legacy base at a time unless you have the TMCC connected to a Legacy via their Y cable. Running more than one TMCC does funky things to the signals.

Jeff is correct, two TMCC command bases won't work. You have a few options depending on what you're trying to accomplish.

If you need better radio range for the TMCC remote you need to relocate the TMCC command base to a more central location. The easiest way to do this is to add a DB-9 serial cable to existing DCS/TMCC cable. You can extend the cable up to 15 feet without hurting the communications between the TIU and command base.

If you need better range for running TMCC locomotives with the DCS remote you can relocate one of the TIU's to a more central location. If that's not practical, you can modify the TIU to which the command base is connected with an external 900MHz antenna. You can run a coax cable from the TIU to an antenna in a central location.
