I have three 2-rail Weaver Troop Pullmans that I need to convert to 3-rail.  Weaver Parts has the correct 3-rail trucks (Allied Cushion) listed on Back Order Only.  They don't mention whether or not these trucks come with roller pick-ups or even if they will ever become available.  If I must cobble something together, can anyone suggest a source for Weaver roller pickups, Weaver trucks, etc.

I'm in a similar boat to you.  I just haven't gotten to the item on my to-do list for swapping out the trucks.  I would call Michigan Model Train Center and talk to Cheryl (Charly on this forum).  She might be able to help.

I have run the 2-rail cars on my FasTrack loop coupled to regular 3 rail cars.  They do work with the 2 rail trucks but you have to be a little careful.

Thanks for all your help.  I talked with Gary at Weaver this morning.  They do not have any troop car roller pickups or the trucks in their inventory.  Their past supplier in China has gone bankrupt and they are trying to recover their tooling and set up an alternate source, as they want to reissue the Weaver Troop Car line.  If they are successful, there should be ample parts.  It sounds like it will be quite a while, if ever, before anything takes shape.

If anyone has other ideas, I would surely appreciate hearing them.

By the way, Eric, I am a regular customer at the Michigan Model Train Center on Portage Lake.  Cheryl doesn't have any Weaver truck parts either.  If you haven't been up to the store lately, be sure to check it out.  They are selling out and have great discounts on some nice items.  Cheryl and Mike would be happy to see you.

Wow, shades of what Scott Mann was describing only a month or so ago (and likely what is bedeviling MTH with regards to their steamers)
