2 Small Springs in the 3rd Rail PA Parts Bag?

A bag of parts comes inside the box.  There are two small black springs in this bag.  Anyone know what the springs are for?  

One would think that Scott knows. Why not eMail him and ask?

I could not be happier with the fit and finish of this engine.

Not to worry. Scott generally responds very quickly, even if he is in China.     Go for it.

Maybe for the Kadee coupler box?

I asked Scott a similar question and his response was “I’m not sure, they just put a bunch of parts in a bag

The short square magnet is used for resetting the model back to the default factory settings if needed. So do not discard it. Read the pamphlet that came with the models. the other things are spare springs for the trucks.

If you try and run this on DC it takes a lot of voltage to get it to move. DCC is a piece of cake runs very nice.

Bottom line do not throw any thing away.

Bob, he’s got a 3 rail model so that advice does not apply in this case

I’m pretty sure those springs are Kadee coupler springs. They’re not truck springs

Why would Scott be including Kadee coupler springs in with the "normal" bag of screws & such, included with various models?
