I recently acquired a Premier Santa Fe Hudson, 20-3475-1, that is complete minus the PS3 boards. I'm not sure if this locomotive used EMI or non EMI boards. I'm wondering if someone knows the part numbers for the tender and boiler boards so I can locate them. Also if someone has the part number for the PS3 tach mount for the locomotive that would be helpful as well.

It really won't matter which you used, however having been released in 2014, I'm pretty sure they were the non-EMI boards when it was manufactured. As long as you use the updated chain files, you can mix the EMI and non-EMI boards. Also, you need to update both the boiler and tender boards.
- DSP Code (Tender/O Diesel) – engine-3239.srec or higher
- Boiler Code – boiler-3232.srec or higher
Ah cool. Both of those files in the chain file packet I was planning on using are older versions. I'm assuming I can just cut/paste the updated tender/boiler files into the chain file packet I was going to use and be good to go?
You can actually just load that individual chain file after the full FLASH load, it doesn't have to be loaded with with all the files.
Oh cool. Thanks.
mth told us it only really matters with HO, NOT O GAUGE!

I don't know who told you that, but they were WRONG! If you mix the EMI and non-EMI boards and don't use a late enough chain file, you WILL have a problem. The boiler board turns on both FETs at the same time with predictable results! I've personally had the issue, so I'm 100% certain of my facts.
Most PS3 components can only be purchased by a authorized service center. Upgrade 3/2 kits can be purchased however.
Clearly, I'd probably want to obtain the actual boards if it's setup for PS/3 and the harnesses are all there. It'll be some work to use the upgrade kit, for one the wireless tether will be a stumbling block.
Lou, send me an email.
I have boards in stock. G
