I'm getting ready to throw away all my current Lionel catalogs. They take up too much space and I never look at them. If there is a catalog from this era that you are interested in, I'll hold it back for you.
A few years ago, I finally gave up trying to save all of my catalogs and magazines. I threw a post in the “Free” section of Craigslist, and a guy that likes trains came by and picked them up. He seemed really happy to get them.
Are there any train clubs near you that you could donate them to? At our club when we have a show we place them on tables with magazines and “FOR FREE” sign. The kids love to look at them and take them home. A good way to spark the interest in future modelers.
