Did I read correctly that the Lionel Series will not be continued this year? Which means the limited edition re-paint too??

We've had a thread up for some time now about the ornaments this year; no sign of the series stopping that I've heard of.,,

There was a non-detailed allusion at the TCA museum presentation (4/2013) to the Hallmark license being lessened somewhat due to Lionel entering the ornament fray on their own a bit (as shown in Christmas catalog 2013).
As Nick stated though, so far there has not been any noticabe reduction in the offerings. The standard engine with add ons and also a mini-set are in the catalog that can be viewed on-line.
BTW, the other thread is here.
I normally get a flyer in the mail regarding "limited" ornaments such as the repaints, but have not yet received the one for July ornament Premier, so I can't say if there is a repaint on the list or not. Last year, I think the repainted ornament was in the October Debut instead of July Premier. Others may already have the list and may be able to fill in the blanks(someone suggested a pink 2037 for October release in the other thread).

The 3 normal size Hallmark Lionel ornaments in the regular line (loco, tender and caboose) are going to be available starting Ornament Premiere weekend July 13-14. The miniature size ornament set in the regular line and the pink locomotive limited edition ornament are going to be available starting Ornament Debut Weekend October 5-6. Stores aren't able to order as many of the limited ornaments, so popular ornaments sell out quickly.
There are 3 normal Lionel pieces and then there will be a pink limited edition ornament in the fall. Hallmark lost the licensing to Mattel pieces but not Lionel. Here are pictures of the Lionels.
Dalewar, thanks for posting the link to the Ornament Shop.
Does anyone have the SKU for the Lionel Pink 2037 Repaint for October? Someone here is always able to post it in the past.
I found this info on another website, so I can't verify it is correct, but it lists the number as:
QXE3745
Thats it. Thanks!!
