LCT catalog cover released! Looks like a few repeats. The catalogs will be online April 18th. I'll keep everyone posted if I hear anything.

thanks wurlitzer,,for the update,
Nice. Thanks for the update.
Thanks, Phil. Will pick one up at York.
I’m betting there are lots of repeats in this one, too. I see the cover features a Vandy Loco (Blue Streak Set?). They offered a number of different versions of that in the 2012 catalog and will probably recycle.
Not trying to be a pessimist, but unless something really “knocks me out,” I’ll carefully weigh my tinplate buying decisions this year.
I'd like to see some troop cars for the Armoured set.
Can't wait to see it. Would love to see another #6 engine in green or blue. Or, another Super 381 in a different roadname.
Still looking forward to the Golaith

I would like to see a red piper.

I would like to see a new armored set with sounds and command. I would like to see smoke pour out as you hear the canon fire.

That would be cool but I'd be happy just to see it with a can motor. I saw one running at a show in the MTH booth and that little thing made a racket in a crowded hall!
loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee to see a #380 come on mike, some starter sets in np,nh,gn something different, its only paint !! or my all time fav 1764 maybe in up or sf,,,,,ok must be the smoke pills i took!

Interesting, mine runs smooth as silk, I only hear the metal wheels swish by. Sounds would be cool, even if they put the electronics in one of the ammo cars, at least a red light through the cannon!
Although the modifications suggested above might be fun for some folks, I am very pleased that Lionel accurately reproduced this set with a non-reversible open frame motor just like the original!
As a young man (age 10 in 1952), I saw the original in the Lionel historical display in the showroom at East 26th Street in Manhattan. My dad was a civilian Corpsman for the US Navy at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and his ambulance was GRAY just like the Lionel armored loco. Consciously or unconsciously, I was forever attracted to this set, but never managed to own an original. The LCT version made it possible, after all those years!
By the way, mine also runs very smooth with my Z-1000 transformer.

What I would like to know is just exactly what is the difference between the 11-6025-0 Armored set and the 11-6029-0 Armored set (other than release dates)? Is there a color difference? If so, I likely would spring for a second set.

As with James' sample, mine runs beautifully. A little jewel. As Art is, I am glad that LCT did a very good reproduction of the No. 214 set without Modern Era 'stuff'. A pair of matching gray No. 702 cars, if made available, would be appreciated.

The 11-6025 is the first gray version, the 11-6029 is the olive drab. I remember seeing the olive version at the last October York at the MTH booth, but I don't know if it was released yet.
I'm going to have to dig out the box mine came in (the train is currently in one of my tinplate display cases hanging on the living room wall). The one I have sure looks to be olive green to my eyes, but I thought the order I made way back when was for the first run. I know I got it way before the second run was (recently) released.

The gray 11-6025 shipped in my store on May 10, 2012. The olive green 11-6029 was a part of the same production run and shipped into my store on July 3, 2012. The add-on cars shipped in with the sets at the time. I am not sure why the 2-month difference.

Allan, here is mine, definitely gray:
IMHO, the best affordable reproduction yet. I've been hunting down RichArt cars and accessories, but they are far and few between.
