Can someone who has purchased the 2014 Edition of the Greenberg Pocket Price Guide for Lionel Trains take a look at their copy of the guide and see if it contains the LTI Classics items (Lionel items 13000 to 13999). I can find only one item from the LTI Classics series in my copy and am wondering if I have a misprint copy. They used to be included in section 4 of the prior guide that I have from several years ago.

Who did you ask and who answered? The syntax would indicate it was a question posed to Lionel.
I ask the publisher of the price guide - Kalmbach Books, who forwarded my question to the Classic Toy Trains editors for clarification, and the response is from the editor of the price guide itself.
I do not understand how an entire line of the LTI era could not be included, as it has been included for years in earlier Greenberg price guides. Since it had been included in prior years, it is easy to see how a buyer of a new updated version would expect those items to be in the new version. Just seems that to tell me to go to Ebay is not a really good answer. Why not just admit they they left it out by mistake and offer some form of a fix to such an omission such as sending out the current pricing data to anyone that requests it?
Ahh, OK the answer was "I apologize but the publisher decided not to include that information in the Pocket Price Guide to Lionel."
Yup, you're right. They goofed.
I mean, if there was really not enough sales/volume to publish prices("NRS"), as on many items throughout the guide, they should just say so.
I like your answer - "Gee, I could do that for all other items as well" and you should have told them that right away and told them you were returning the guide, and will recommend everyone in your club(s) and forum(s) do the same.
I am finding too that the Greenberg's guide is not the best for listing many variations of prewar engines and tenders.
I have a 249E with a 2225T tender and Greenberg's don't list the 2225T for that engine, it is listed for a 238E engine. I know that my set is an original as I got it from my dad and he didn't mix or match anything with his trains.
I am finding that most price guides are very annoying because they don't take the time to do enough research for them.
