Just thinking about what o-gauge locomotives I would prefer to acquire this year. My railroad only has MTH Rail King locomotives with DCS, but this may be the year I add TMCC control. Why TMCC?
New York Central S type electric. Lionel makes the iconic New York Central S type electric with TMCC that is on my must have list of acquisitions. If I find a dead one, then I will convert it to DCS PS2 or PS3. Otherwise a TMCC runner will do.
USRA Mikado. There are no Mikados on my railroad, so I might jump at the opportunity to have one without a Belpaire firebox, but with DCS PS2 or PS3.
Mallet. I have a special appreciation for Mallets on my railroad. A N&W "A" Class like No. 1218 would blow my mind, but I do not think that any were made in Rail King with DCS. So second place would be a Rail King Clinchfield Challenger with PS2 or PS3.
Aside from a couple of items like 3rd Rail's Canadian Pacific E8's that slipped into the new year's 2017 shipping schedule along with Lionel's AFT passenger cars and multi-personality Penn Central 21" cars , ALL FUNDS (and then some! 
) are being directed to layout construction. So I'll be watching all the 2017 "first look" product reviews that show up here on the forum from the sidelines. No regrets though, as getting a layout up and running has been LONG overdue! Should be a VERY exciting year in that regard.
