Hi all:

Does anyone know of a modern part switch out I can use to replace Lionel postwar part # ws-125 "tender whistle complete" for a 221W tender?  This locomotive was purchased by my late father when he was only a teenager in 1947.  He told me that the whistle had broken and he removed it to repair it but never did.  I have displayed this train for nearly 25 years and recently decided to restore it.  I have replaced a few broken parts - and have the train running pretty smooth - although the E unit does not seem to work (not sure if I am going to replace this as it still cycles - it is the turning of it off that does not work).  Unfortunately, I just can't seem to find an original ws-125 replacement anywhere.  However, I am not set on having an original part -- my daughter and I would just like to hear the train whistle as it puffs around the track.

Thanks

David
