I purchased a railking challenger 30-1107 this is my first mth engine I've pulled the tender apart and couldn't find a battery am I missing something? I just don't want to mess it up. Thanks

This model is not a PS/1 engine, it has no battery.

That locomotive does not have a battery,….it only has basic whistle and bell features ….it does have a smoke unit. Follow the instructions on how to properly lube your new to you engine. More than likely the traction tires are dry rot if they haven’t been replaced already,….add 5-6 healthy drops of smoke fluid, and see what she does,….
