I have a pw 362 barrel loader that is shorted out, when it is turned on it trips the breaker in the transformer. Can anyone tell me what to look for? Do the vibrators short out or is there something else that could be wrong?

Make sure all the internal wiring to the coil is intact, and is not cracked and shorting out. Also inspect that the insulating washers are in place. See here for a view of the wiring.

Thanks for your help Larry got it working real good.
DM,
I'm curious to know.
What did you find wrong with your Lionel #362 Barrel Loader?
Thank you and I'm glad you got it working.

DM,
Glad you got the barrel loader working.
As RJL alludes to, if you would kindly post a short explanation of the diagnosis and repair, it will help expand the knowledge base of forum readers.

Thank you Larry, as DM's findings would help one other, or more members, who might have the same problem, as he.
Also, Larry thank you for your helpful post of Lionel's 'Technical Schematic Illustration' and info.
