I decided that my 364 Log Loader needed a operators control booth. So, using Evergreen Polystyrene products and Midwest Products Basswood, I made catwalks and a control booth.
Here is the Control Booth made from Corrugated Siding Basswood and the Catwalks made from Styrene. The deck is a plastic mesh used for needle point.
Detail of the lower catwalk. The stairs are Plastruct. I use this flexible magnet strip to hold the stairs to the catwalk. One piece of magnet cut to fit the platform. On the stairs I had to make a 45° bracket so the magnet would line up with the magnet on the platform. I did the same thing with the short set of stairs that go to the upper catwalk.
Here are the stairs attached to the catwalk. The magnet makes it easy to remove. The square tubes are brackets for the handrails.
Checking how everything fits. Note how one half of the catwalk rests on the frame of the 364. That part of the catwalk that sits on the frame of the 364 is a C channel that rests on the metal frame.
Here are the hand rails made from basswood.

Starting to come together, before paint.
Paint everything with grey primer, then hit it with aluminum spray paint, then a dusting of flat black spray paint. Then add window and door trim made from polystyrene L channel, painted flat black.
Now my 364 Log Loader has a proper control booth for the operation of unloading logs.
