I am looking for a source to make/copy some small detail "plastic" parts. I can supply an original part to copy. Any suggestions for having this kind of work done will be appreciated.

3d printing business aren’t particularly uncommon now days, do search for 3d printing on google maps then just call around, more and more places are getting 3d scanners now, and can copy your items.
If you have masters to make copies from it's probably a lot easier and faster to just make your own RTV molds and make resin copies. It may even be cheaper and you'll own the molds to make more when you want or need more.
I want to do the same - myself. I don't understand RTV and need sources for supplies and process if instructions are not included with supplies. Thanks Hielsie

Fairly easy and generally easier than all the mythology in the magazines, etc.
I use resins and RTV from Frreman's - sold by Miapoxy. Lots of tutorials on the web site.
$6-800 bucks to get started in 3D printing makes the first print job pretty expensive. We have a couple people in our RC airplane circle that have mastered it. We also have 4 or 5 that bought all the stuff and got discouraged and their equipment sets idle.
If you don't know how to create a file you will be stumped. Somewhere out there, someone has probably created a file for the part you are looking to 3D print and has the file for sale or download. Just having a part and wanting to "copy" it does not work like coping a sheet of paper.
There are hobby shops and individuals that will print a part if the file is available or will create a file for a price. Not cheap, but nothing is.
