I just saw 3rd Rail has the preorder up for their bluetooth controller, I think I may just buy one to try it out. $69.95 is a helluva deal to run off your phone

Until the Blue Tooth board plug in and give me all of the Legacy features and is cost effective for the amount of engines I have this is a no go for me. That being said I love the tech so I'll be interested to see where it goes.

It sounds like a simple solution for TMCC equipped power. I'll be paying close attention.
Now I dont need Legacy control, I just want to run cab1 style through my legacy base
Now comes the new question of - is it better to install bluetooth direct into non-tmcc engines or install tmcc... 
I gonna go ahead n keep using the TMCC and DSC upgrades. Ill spend enough time putting em in i dont need to experiment with budding technology.

Totally understandable. I'm just building a layout, so I have a lot more flexibility to experiment.
This is very interesting. I wonder if you can use the Cab 1 and the app at the same time to allow two operators.
