Hey folks. I was all excited to order new MTH DCS WTIU and after watching Muffins video with Mike Wolf last night it doesn't appear I need to. I have the MTH TIU and WIFI units.
That said, it seems as though the WIFI on my phone app never remains connected for long if it ever connects at all. The signal from the house WIFI is always there, but the app very often says it is not available, or, the commands on either track screens for conventional operation or DCS just don't "work."
I'm sure it's operator error on my part. The sad thing is, it's not as much "fun," and, even discouraging, to have so much difficulty with what is supposed to be so simple.
After watching Mike and his assistant with Steve and company last night, I am beginning to think I better stick to preaching and just go back to my throttle driven ZW.
Any encouragement or suggestions?
P.S. The initial "problem" was an issue I had with an attempted reset of a PS-2 Hudson. I had applied DCS to a separate "programming" track and it failed to communicate with my favorite engine. It has not run since and nothing else on layout seems to be recognized on app or handheld any longer.
