I know this has been asked / addressed numerous times over the years however I think the batteries in my cab2 are FINALLY dying - they’ve been in there for YEARS

Do I just get any AA rechargeable or is there a latest/current type or brand I should use ???

Quick history - I think these are the original batteries that came with my Legacy system - they were not being used ( in storage ) while we were going through a move - recently set up a small oval just to check everything ( all good working fine ) they just do not seem to hold a charge for a length of time

Thanks in advance

One other option that I have started to use are Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.  Li-ion batteries provide 1.5 volts as opposed to 1.2 volts for NiMH and are claimed to maintain their full voltage for more of the life of the charge.  Caution: be careful that you order 1.5 volt and not 3.7 volt batteries - the 3.7 volt batteries tend to be cheaper.

While the Cab 2 seems to work on either 1.2 or 1.5 voltage, the 1.5 volt batteries also come in handy for other devices like LED flashlights that need 1.5 volts to provide the brightest possible light.

The Li-ion rechargeables that i have seen come in two ways: one with a USB-C port right in the battery for direct charging from a USB source while the others use the more conventional separate charging unit that you put the batteries in.

Hi TENERGY now makes a 2700 mah AAA Batteries and there not very expensive!

also this is the best charger for cycling batteries AA n AAA to reset the battery memory!

I've been using the original batteries since I've purchased the Legacy REMOTE WITH NO ISSUES!

EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CHARGER!
