Has anyone heard any news regarding the arrival of the E8s/E9s?

I haven't "heard" anything, but I have been reading the discussion about them over on the 3-Rail SCALE (3RS) Forum.
The container was supposed to arrive the 22nd I think. I haven't gotten my ups notification yet so I imagine they're not thru customs yet
I got an email from Scott a couple of weeks ago regarding my stand by reservation for 2 CB&Q E8's. Shipping guestimate
"Probably shipping June 5th - 10th"
This was with respect to my order so your order will most likely be similar.
Container Docked last Friday, 5-26. Awaiting container customs clearance and delivery to our warehouse.
After unloading, sorting, processing each order, we print the UPS tags. Customers should then get an email from UPS.com with tracking number and delivery address. We wait 2 days for any gotcha's and then start shipping them out. Probably Monday next week 6-5.

Scott, you should ship mine first
Thanks for the update Scott.
I'm really looking forward to getting my 1st 3rd Rail locomotive in my collection. Glad it's going to be a Southern E8!!
Thank you for the update Scott. Patiently waiting.

I'm very excited for mine to arrive. With PRR, Amtrak and ATSF units on their way. Hooray!
Ive got CB&Q units on the way. If I was made out of money I'd have thrown down on those Santa Fe units.
I got my UPS tracking number today so my E8s are on the way.

Well, not exactly "on the way" yet. Scott's post, above, explains how they "print the UPS labels" after everything is unloaded from the container and sorted, but then they wait 2 days for actual shipments.
As you get your UPS tracking info, check your address carefully. There is a lot of data entry, old addresses, 2 systems (reservation and billing) that can have differences over time. If you see a mistake do send us an email. If everything looks good, you don't have to do anything.
Please refrain from calling and asking when...
Thanks All,
Scott
Still waiting here in Western Pennsylvania..............

I got mine but they wont ship until next Friday at the very earliest most likely Monday the 12th
I stand corrected. My locos left yesterday and I wil have them on monday
Hhhmmmm.... some of you guys are talking shipping, and I haven't even seen a charge on my credit card yet -- much less a shipping email. I guess the folks in PA are part of a later round of shipments.

I live in Wisconsin and mine are due to be here on Friday.
It just takes time to sort through the boxes to make sure the right locomotives go together before they are shipped out. I got a shipping notice, but it hasn't left CA yet and I'm only a 12 hour drive from Scott's warehouse. You should get your notice soon!
I'm in Canada. Three E8s on order. No shipping notice yet but my card was charged on Monday, May 30th. So, if your card has not even been charged by now, perhaps a call is in order?

I think an eMail directly to Scott would be better than a phone call, in my opinion.

To add a bit to this all shipments now require a signature for delivery.
I emailed Scott to change my shipping address to my work so im not in a position to have them left on the steps or go pick them up.
For those lucky enough to get them, can you please post a picture or two. AND if you just happene to have another MFG/Importer's model can you also post some side by side comparison pictures? Thanks in advance.
I have had a shipping notice for almost a week. The units haven't shipped yet. Check tracking at ups.com; once UPS has picked them up will you get an accurate delivery date. Scott has stated this before. When they ship arrives they process the credit cards and then print the shipping labels. Actually shipping comes later after sorting and inspection. Three days separated the generation of the shipping label and the pickup by UPS.

My CC was billed on wed or Thursday, and I got the UPS tracking info on Friday.
My units haven't reaches UPS yet but I used the tracking numbers to have the packages left at the nearest UPS store so I don't have to worry about them sitting on my porch all day or about being there to sign for them.
Living on the west coast, hopefully I'll get to see them before the weekend.
My E8s are due to arrive tomorrow! Just got the UPS notice.
Any other Canadians order any of these besides myself?
I'm not Canadian, but the Canadian Pacific is one of my favorite railroads after experiencing some of the rich CP railroad heritage in western Canada when my wife and I visited back in 2000. So I jumped at the opportunity to order two Canadian Pacific E8 A-units in the early paint scheme, which will now head up my CP train consisting of Lionel 18" aluminum passenger cars. So between the two of us, we can account for 5 CP E8 units. Not sure what Scott's "minimum" is for a specific roadname -- probably about 10 or so I'd guess. So a few more CP enthusiasts must be out there!!!

Dear Jon,
Woe is you.
The End
I got mine!
I don't think it can pull my 12-car Atlas California Zephyr because......
I got the 2-rail HO version.

My card was charged then, too, and I still have not received a shipping notice. But I am not worried. They have some logic in their shipping scheduling and I am usually not near the head of the line. They have a lot of units to inspect. I just allowed it to take its course, to see if mine would be shipped in time for Friday delivery. So, when it became evident that the shipment would not arrive this week, I asked that they not ship mine until very late in June, as I will be traveling until then. My email received an immediate reply from Scott, asking Shani to hold my single E8A until I return.
Can't ask for better service than that. And at a very busy time, too.

Exactly. I emailed Scott late last night explaining I hadn't seen a charge posted to my CC yet -- given all the talk about CC charges and UPS shipping notices here on the forum. I awoke this morning to an email time-stamped 5:16AM EDT explaining what had likely occurred. And at 2:42PM EDT today, I received my UPS shipping notice.
How many CEO's can you name that choose to get involved with their customer at that direct level? I don't need more than a few fingers to count that high. Very impressive!!!

This is fun. We are all like little kids a week or so before Christmas. I too received a UPS tracking notice. Scott does a better job at keeping us excited than Santa Claus by keeping us in the loop. Thanks Scott.
Do UPS drivers like milk and cookies?

Well we are almost finished shipping (Dealer Shipments Awaiting Drop Ship and Payments).
But we found some inconsistencies in the box label and contents (A SFWB outerbox had a Southern Inside). So please, when you get your shipment, at least open the outer box and check the label of the decorated box inside. If it doesn't match, email me and we will get it corrected. We hope you really enjoy your E8s. We worked for about 1 and half years from start to finish to make them. I am proud of everyone involved. Cheers.
Scott, do you ever sleep? I operate on about 5 hours a night but you never quit
Haha, maybe he sleeps on the airliner, traveling between the USA and China.
