does anyone have experience running 3rd rail engines thru fastrack 0-60 switches?

Need more info. What engine, a 2-10-4 or an F7? Most of them require 072, and depending on what engine...072 is really pushing it.
looking to order pa-1's or a texas 2-10-4. scott said that they would handle 0-54 curves ok but only 0-72 switch/turnouts. my layout has 0-72 wye's and 0-60 switches. seems as they have never been tested for 0-60 switches. don't want to spend the bucks and find I only have shelf queens.
I have never heard of an 060 switch. Is this a Ross product? You are talking about 3rail not two rail correct?
yes 3 rail lionel fastrack 612058 google it
Order em up. If they don't work you're getting a new layout too
If the guy who made the engine said they need at least O72 why are you doubting that? Time to choose between another engine or a new layout.

The 2-10-4 might be a problem depending on the amount of flanged drivers it has. The pa will negotiate the switch but your couplers may be an issue- esp if you will be using kay-dee couplers. Are you getting the PA because of the fixed pilots?
no, because they are great engines and I finally have some money saved to get one.
I have a 3rd Rail GN M2 that's rated for 054, but it's very tight on them.
It runs through 060 Fastrack switches without issue.
