Brilliant idea. The only scale SD70MAC ever made in O scale is the K-line one which is now found under the possession of... UGH... Bachmann. I'd love to see a correct one along with an SD60I and an SD70/75I.

MTH makes a scale version. I have a BNSF Premier SD70MAC from 2001.
It's always best to eMail Scott directly. However, since this model has apparently already been produced by MTH, I wouldn't hold much hope for Sunset/3rd Rail/Golden Gate Depot producing such a model.

Were these from Lionel never delivered? 2014 catalog. 4-5 roadnames.
I just don't see Scott doing these. At least not until he does the FP45 for a late El Capitan train or the combined Super Chief/El Capitan
Frank, did you see that OMI CSX version sell for $1600 on the bay? I wish it went to me! Beautiful engine.
I'm going to have to convert a MTH version to 2 rail I bet. Someday there maybe a big change in eras that are the most popular. I prefer modern. I don't believe it's any majority! I didn't want any steamers originally. Now I have too many to count. I'm still looking for some of the same modern equipment as when I started.
Lionel did make and deliver the sd70mac. We have a BNSF one on the shelf at my store
Thanks Matt.
I rather see another popular model not yet done in O scale or O gauge.
Seeing how BNSF is upgrading their SD70MACe's with new electrical, I bet they'll be around a good while longer.

MTH or Lionel Versions can't hold a candle to that K-Lionel version. Other than the fuel tank being too small - the truck locations are correct.
I would go for an ARR model to go with my K-Line version.

I believe Scott has already said that the makers have made way too many for him to jump in now or the near future.
No matter what you think of what the others have built they may be your only choice.
