I am looking for the fire box plastic cover with the guages in it, as I bought a new sealed set and the backhead was cracked and broke from the factory.
Please help me as I can not find this piece any where.

Eather one will work per Lionel but they do not have one. The one has enginer and fireman on it.
I was searching for the backhead w/ figures too, unfortunately they simply don't exist separately. You will need to consider buying a junk Hudson and taking the piece from it.
What I have is Lionel 6-18056 763E New York Hudson with the Vanderbuilt tender and Lionel broke the backhead and put a spare set of wheels in the cab to hide the damage. This was a sealed set that was never opended till a week ago. Very upset they would do that as the engine had a persons name on the plastic as it being checked for quality control.
