UPDATED 8-2-15 4TH ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE !!!!!!

Can't make it, Alex and Dina, due to a wedding that day.

Not to distract from this festive thread, but I hope you've done due diigence regarding the security of your trains and those of your visitors during your get together. One can never be too careful or become complacent with the attitude, that'll never happen to me.

Hopefully, next year's get together will be the charm for me. Till then at York, enjoy to the fullest!!!

You've got that right, Harry Henning was robbed last week during an open house. Fortunately, video was able to identify the culprit.

I sent Alex and Dina an email and copied you on it about a change of plans for Saturday. Now... Marty, I'm not picking another train show over another and not seeing you till later, BUT.... I am picking the NEW YORK JETS (J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS) that have a 7pm green vs. white practice game on Saturday at MetLife stadium that I am going to directly after the Greenberg show over seeing you and my train buddies. Sorry guys and gals but it is the start of football season. I know I will be missed but have to see the AFC east team practice with correctly inflated footballs.! Lol!

I will be looking forward to October York to see everyone then.

Ted, with all due respect and I am in the NYC area, this deflategate thing is beyond any rational thought process. Simply stated, if you were married to Gisele Bundchen, would you give Roger Goodell your cell phone? IMO, if you did, you'd probably be the dumbest man alive.

This whole incident surrounds around something stupid that occurred. I'm just waiting for Marty's response, Lol! I know Mike Wolf would have something to chime in since his team is part of our AFC east.

 

Now let's be honest, are we really going to miss Ted......especially since he chose to go to a Jets event instead of Alex's party?

Ted, the one who is going to miss another great OGR gathering event. But really, it is not missing any of you, but it is missing all that great home-cooked food with all that italian gravy!

 

Just a quick update, Dina just finished cooking all the Italian food for tomorrow.

That's all I can say is the smell in my house is AMAZING !!!!!!!!!

Being of Italian descent, I'm sad that I will miss the get together. However, this makes next year all the more exciting. I just found out that Alan Graziano is bringing his Hulett project tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great time. I will catch up with Alex at York in

October, he's my next door neighbor.

Alex & Dina. Thank you so much for having such a great party. It was a lot of fun. Sue and I really enjoyed it. Ben looked depressed that you didn't have the moo goo gai pan, but he made up for it with the beer.

 

Alex, that new layout you're building looks like it is really going to be spectacular. I can't wait to see the finished product.

What a great day.  To no one's surprise, the food was superb, and the company was great.  As always, Alix & Dina were the consummate gracious hosts, and a good time was had by all. 

 

I was given the opportunity to demonstrate my cat like reflexes and catch a VL-BB before it fell on the floor.  I'm sure we'll hear more about that.
