I bought these from a forum member and was wondering if there is a manual or parts list available.

First, I am looking form replacement parts if needed.

Second, I was wondering about adding diaphragms between the cars.

Any ideas or assistance, would be deeply appreciated.

Dennis, I will follow this thread because I'm looking for the same thing. I have a set of the B&O cars from a number of years ago, and they had some defect in a number of the truck frames. They developed cracks which bend and the frames do not hold the wheels in line at all. I have two cars that are useless since I can't keep them on the track. I've ordered a pair of LIONEL "Baby Madison" trucks from the Lionel Store to see if they can be used. They should arrive in the next few days and I'll post results. No responses yet to my "wanted to buy" listing here for Williams Heavyweight Trucks, and I do not see them listed on the WBB web site.

On another note, I have my ticket for August 3 to Metropark and should be there by 11:18 AM. Look forward to meeting you and seeing Alex's layout.

If they are the 15" Madison style cars with 6 wheels per truck, try this from Lionel:

62026130506-WHL TRUCK W/ COUPLER / BLACK / K-LINE HEAVYWHT $18.00

Kind of steep and I'm not sure they fit the Williams cars

I also bought the 6 car PRR set on e-bay. It was an assembled kit and I had to rebuild every truck and insulate the axles and pickup rollers with heat shrink tubing. I also had to rewire the lights and get new silouttes for the windows. They run great now and handle O-31 turns and look great on the clubs 0-72 turns.

Try giving Frank Vacek a call.  My understanding is that he was one of Williams' in-house repair people, and he has a very large inventory of Williams (pre WBB) parts.  If he doesn't have something, he could likely rig something up.  He was able to provide me with a number of difficult to find and obscure parts for some older Williams trains that I have.  He is also expert with repairs.  410-465-3782

RL thanks for providing Frank's phone #.  I just spoke with him.  He works out of his house and was employed by Williams for 23 yrs.  I was happy see the 410 area code since mine is the same. I plan to stop be his house next week to discuss some upgrades to my scale Williams Hudson and a Peter Whit streetcar.  Nice to have a Williams guy in the neighborhood.
