5 different horns? Lionel 2020 catalog

New for 2020. They talked about it in the show Wednesday. You can toggle through the options with aux1 and the loco will remember what you picked. 

That sounds like a nice option for the new sound boards.  Maybe they'll expand that to steamers so you can pick your whistle type as well.

Dave from Lionel also mentioned that the new SP GS engines will have multiple options for both the horn and the whistle. Pretty neat.

I don't have the Bluetooth app but am thinking of getting it. Is there an AUX1 option on the app to try/play each of the five horns or would the app work differently with this new function?  

Incidentally, I think it may have been mentioned, but the Bluetooth app for LionChief+ engines (at least with the steam engines) allows you to vary the pitch of the whistle and the frequency of the bell. It's like having your choice of multiple whistles. Pretty neat stuff. 

The last run of the Lion Chief + RS-3s had that feature on its  Blue Tooth program. Think there is a button on the main screen to touch which gets you to the adjustments for the horn and bell. As a point of interest, this locomotive runs quite nicely getting down to some pretty slow speeds. 

I like the option to chose your own horn and bell sounds. I just wish that the button to cycle between whistles wasn't Aux1. I have an engine with a whistle and a horn (VL Niagara), and when ever I hit Aux1 to enter sequence control or set crewtalk, I forget about the horn. Granted, with only two options, it isn't bad to cycle back to the whistle, but with 5 options it would be cumbersome, in my opinion.
