Tongjiang Nizhneleninskoye China-Russia Bridge completed
From that article, that's what it looks like, with single center powered rail and all. Not obvious to me why though, any ideas?

Based on the locomotive placement on the rails it may be multi-gauge track. I do not know what standard gauge is in China, but one of the gauges used in Russia is 6' wide gauge.

Did you see the photo mid article. Based on the way that locomotive sits on the track, my imagination tells me that same engine could go in reverse direction but wheels would sit on the other 2 rails, life size lionel style roller pickup hitting single electrified center rail both ways...lol!
Some sort of gauntlet track with guard rail?
I thought Russia used 5 foot guage.
