Thank You Rob for the 5121 manual and Ralph for the parts of 1122 manual. Both are a great deal of help.
If I take and Jumper the switches do I run them to a low voltage power transformer?
Or do I run them to an A/B switch for open and closing the switches?

They are track powered. No jumper needed.
To activate the switches, you can use just about any length of 3 conductor wire and any SPDT center off momentary switch(which is what the controllers are) with the ground connection on the 1122/5121 made to the center common terminal of the SPDT and the two remaining connections to the two remaining terminals on the SPDT.
If you have the "knife" controlers -brown or black - thatusually come with them it sometimes simplifies wiring. Otherwise the spot suggested works.
