Right now I have the standard CW-80 and looking to getting a more powerful transformer. If I buy the 6-22983 Powerhouse, will the CW-80 controll the train power or do I need a new controller? If yes, which one? Thanks
The CW-80 is a complete transformer, the PowerHouse is just a higher capacity fixed transformer. If you're running strictly command, you would just connect the PowerHouse directly to the tracks and the CW-80 becomes surplus.

Thanks gunrunnerjohn... I am new to trains, what does strictly command mean? What would I use to control the speed of the train? Does the Powerhouse have a lever on it?
No, the PowerHouse products are just a box with a circuit breaker.
"Command" means using TMCC/Legacy and/or MTH DCS systems to control the trains remotely. I mistakenly assumed since you posted in the TMCC/Legacy section that you were running command.
You might look around for an MTH Z4000, all the transformer you'll need for a long time.
