Congrats!
Congratulations! Anyone besides me interested in knowing where the Black River and Western RR is?
Phil
The Black River and Western Railroad is a short-line railroad operating in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, between Flemington and Ringoes. The railroad features vintage steam and diesel powered locomotives. The railroad maintains a regular limited freight service,[1] but is operated mostly as a tourist attraction.[2]
I road behind #60 back in 1980, and then again in 1992. Its a great locomotive, and the Black River & Western is a great operation.

THere is a good Youtube video which I've linked below.
#60 last ran in November of 2000 and is a sister to the Strasburg RR's 2-10-0 #90. Both ran on the Great Western in Colorado.
That outfit in Phillipsburg won't be able to say that they have the only operating steam loco in New Jersey.
Always enjoyed a visit to Black River & Western after a stop in New Hope. Made a great Sunday outing with beautiful countryside and some of America's most charming towns.
I never thought she would run again.
I never thought she would run again.
I hope we manage to get a few more back. Dreaming about N&W 611....
