752w (rail chief,Hiawatha) can the set make 0-54?

I'm doubting it but has anyone ever tried running the 752 or any other cars like them (rail chief, Hiawatha etc) on 0-54? My new smaller layout limits me to 0-54 no room for 0-72. So just wondering if anyone has tried it with any success.

I've tried, and it ended in a literal train wreck.

I've even run these types of cars on O-60 Fastrack curves, and the wheels actually rubbed the frame and chipped some of the paint off.

So, I say that it can't be done without some extensive car modification. When Lionel says O-72, they mean it with these cars.
