Really nice to see the picture in one of the "Inn" coaches!
I had a blast having this train in the area this weekend. I got to see it on the wye in Allentown, chase it Saturday and Monday, and ride Sunday. The ride was by far the best part.
Thank you Reading and Northern and Norfolk Southern for allowing this train to run, and thank you to the FWRHS for bringing the train, preserving history, and allowing me the experience of a lifetime on Sunday! It was more than I ever expected!
Question for Rich,
the two tunnels the trip went through. Does/did the engine crew need to dawn masks For the time in these tunnel?
No, no masks were needed.
Those tunnels are short and we went through them fast enough that the cab remained in clean air.
I had a wonderful time on Saturday and got to meet many new faces. I decided to take a quick tour of the train so I could cool off after getting out of the sauna of coach Ohio State and moving to Collinsville Inn. Enjoy the video!
Thank you so much, Carson and others for posting! I was supposed to work the trips but had to mark off due to family issues. It has been a real treat to be able to ride along, even briefly.
I rode on Sunday in the Wabash Dome car 4501. Rich, I introduced myself to you in the lounge car, if you remember. In my section o the lower dome there was only 5 of us it was great. Such a great trip and I am so glad we did it..I hope to do it again.
