Back on June 2, I posted a thread about the consist of the 611 excursions. Rich mentioned that the same consist would be used behind 765 this summer. There is at least one addition: Pullman Car Dover Harbor will also be in the 765 consist.

A very good friend of mine, (the fella that owns the airport I fly out of) is bringing his brother and two grandchildren on this ride.
They purchased tickets in the Dover Harbor. They are in for a treat!
Almost all of the cars used behind the 611 will be the same ones used behind the 765 this year. The STAMPEDE PASS short dome (former OBSERVATORY) and PRAIRIE VIEW full dome were previously booked for other things this summer and they have to leave Roanoke after the July 5 excursions. In their place starting with the WABASH CANNONBALL will be short dome 9407 - a repeat from several years behind the 765 - and bringing up the markers will be the DOVER HARBOR. The DOVER HARBOR will be on all 765 excursions through Labor Day Monday when it has to leave for other commitments, along with the NYC 43 lounge and HOLLYWOOD BEACH sun room lounge.
The Sept. 12-13 NICHOLSON VIADUCT CENTENNIAL TRAIN has a couple of surprises in the works, including several of the cars.
When deciding if you want to ride any of this year's offerings, just ask yourself two questions: 1- how long has it been since you could buy a ticket to ride this route? and 2- how long might it be before you could buy a ticket to ride this route, again?
Most of the answers are measured in DECADES........
