Hello,

I had a blast chasing 765 around western New York recently and would love to ride behind her again (its been 20 plus years - I'm overdue!).  The Cuyahoga trips seem like the best price and distance option for my family.  I have never been on this line before so which is the best trip to take?  Which trip has the best scenery?  What else is there to do in the area to entertain a 7 year old, 9 year old and my wife?

thanks,

Matt

p.s.  What route will 765 take to get to Ohio?  Any chance of a trip back through New York or a trip over Horseshoe Curve?  either is worthy of a sick day!

Brecksville southbound is good, IMHO.  Be sure to get the open window car!  Unfortunately, there is no way to turn 765, so she only runs south.  On the other end of the train, a diesel pulls the train back north.  But, still good, especially with the open windows!

Cleveland has a science center, rock hall of fame, zoo, and a few other things.  The Cuyahoga Valley is a nice large park with lots of places to ride your bike or hike.  Another hour West is Cedar Point!
