Looks great. I love ceramic buildings and toy trains.
WOW, wonderful detail! Must have taken a long time and much effort to complete such a fine layout. You did a great job mixing all the brand buildings (Plasticville, Korber, OGR, etc.) to create realistic scenes. Thank you for sharing the photos.

It all looks great!! I like your winter scene. How did you transition from it to the rest of the layout? I would like to display some of my wife's buildings year round, but want to make that part somewhat isolated. May be hard in an 11 x 11 room. Thank you for sharing!

Then another few minutes just before dawn...
Then I woke up and gave it another ten minutes before I was willing to move.
Unusually complete for a new layout. How long did it take you to assemble and detail to this point?
Congratulations Finbar!!! Wonderful layout!!! Lots of great detail and variety. Your layout is really very interesting with the mix of postwar and new plus a wide variety of scenes

Thanks Mark The transition to the ceramic buildings was done by placing a large styrofoam mountain after the baseball field with tunnels thru them My theme for the layout was to go from Industrial then to the small town then thru the mountains to the Winter village Thanks again

Hi Jim the layout was done over a period of Years The first section was the industrial the second was The small town and last was the ceramic village I was going to go thru the wall but was Stopped by the Supreme Ruler

Thanks Paul the Detail s The trees are Weeds that were spray painted The ground cover is from the fuzzy stuff the falls from OAK trees in the spring I just grind it up and best of all it's free . The ballast is Cat litter the railroad ties are all hand cut must be about a thousand of them the mountains are all made from Very large pieces of styrofoam which was packing material I just gouged it out and sprayed it grey then added some ground cover to it . The entire layout was made over a period of MANY years as it was done in sections The first being the Industrail the second was the extension on the right making up the Town and the third was the Ceramic Village It complete now as the Supreme Ruler will not allow me to cut thru the wall
