LOL!  When I listened to it the 1st time it did remind me of Orbison, but near the end there was something that sounded NOT Orbison.  I heard/saw an old clip of Andy Williams the other day and that's when it hit me.

 

Keep them coming Erik, we I could sure use the schooling.

I remember as a kid how bad I wanted a set of those Midland kits. Not anymore. I finally bought an 11 car set unbuilt and matching Wasatch plated 41ND trucks. Atlas came out with the CZ and didn't require a degree in metalworking.. Sold!

I still have one unbuilt dome kit. Atlas never returned the dome casting I sent them. Rather frustrating now it's incomplete and worthless.

The plastic ones are far more accurate.  While I prefer the Mac Shops, those are exceedingly well done, and for me even in a video they look more like my hobby.

Yeah buddy I think the Atlas cars are a better model by far. I know Ron Kieser very well as a personal friend and co-worker. He has some mighty interesting stories about his adventures in the business in the extruded era.

Exceptional video Erik!  Great fun. And yes, Roy Orbison and Andy Williams are fantastic singers although quite a bit different in style and music. I never appreciated Orbison back in the 60's as much as I do now. Lotta soul.

Beautifully done video Erik...boy did I wish I was in one of the domes taking in the scenery on a fine trip across the country.

Yeah, me too - sorta.  My era was Elvis through the Eagles, with a little Emmy Lou Harris and the now vindicated Dixie Chicks thrown in.  I love classical and Flamenco guitar.  I have a very difficult time with Jazz, Sinatra, and Rap Music.  Just me.
