Good deal. There is probably a driver out there who will never again stop on the teacks when traffic stops ahead of her or him. One less to worry about.
How stupid can drivers be?

I try not to ask questions like that, for fear that they will show me.

Problem is the idiots behind him. I stopped at a light rail crossing in Hunt Valley that had started flashing and the genius behind me laid on his horn and gunned his way around me before the gate came down completely. The only thing on the other side of the tracks was a Lowes and a Sams Club and he almost got himself killed for what, a 64 pack of toilet paper or a box of nails? My big concern if he got hit wasn't for him but what if the debris hit me! I have no tolerance for stupidity.

And it looks as if the crossing was one of those quad gated ones!

Most of them are, the line from Salt lake to Ogden is a no horn zone, most of the crossings are quads

I will NEVER understand the mentality behind the wheel that says it is OK to pull up and STOP ON RAILROAD TRACKS when you have no clear path ahead to get ACROSS THE TRACKS! Utter stupidity at its finest.
I have little sympathy for people who get hurt due to their own stupid acts.
Sorry about that, my finger twitched!.....I live approx. a mile from the NS Lehigh Line West of Allentown, Pa. and this morning at 31st. street a lady driver turned left after passing one crossing gate (up position). Due to the glare of the sun (I truly have to question the position of the sun to cause a glare) she continued driving. The ride had to be terribly rough because she was driving on the tracks. Based on her comment about the glare of the sun, she was headed for Allentown Yard, perhaps to receive her train orders. She dialed 911 and they relayed the emergency call to NS. Shortly thereafter a freight unable to stop in time destroyed the car.
She was probably texting at the time.
