It's called a Magbag made by Trek-Teck. It's like a bean bag with a camera mount. You don't need to even use the mount in many cases. You can level it on almost any uneven surface. I use it for video or stills to get those low angle shots. Check it out. Don

Now THAT I can use! Thanks.

Paul,
That would be an ideal accessory to use.
great idea!
It even has a strap on the bottom so you can strap it to a tree branch for example. The little screw on camera mount is magnetized and holds well to the bag. In fact it very hard to pull off unless a camera is attached to it. Don

Great little gadget, Don. I'll have to look into it.
Bean bags of one type or another are a must when you put a camera down on the tracks for a more realistic angle, particularly when a camera has metal parts and power is on to the tracks to illuminate headlights.
For larger cameras and vertical formats, there is always the small marbles in a couple of old socks approach, too. I couldn't do layout photography without them.

That is a cool device
Hey John, any ideas where I might be able to use that
I went right to Bing and found the website. However there seems to be a problem with their on-line ordering at the moment
The magnet is brilliant. I'll be ordering one tomorrow.
Jim, I do like the stuffed sock method. BTW - Nice weathered Gondola in the picture. Is that a post war flat with custom deck?
Paul
