that would be a 2015 NJHR calendar, not catalog. order yours while supplies last
Ben,
Your club is doing God's work.
Well done, my friend, well done.
George
That little boy will never forget what you guys did. You're a great group.
Fantastic!
Peter
The response from everyone is great. One thing I'd like to point out is that the calendar is the work of our member Phil G. Phil thought of the idea, worked on getting it put together, found a printer who donated most of his usual fee and worked tirelessly to sell them at our latest show. And they'll also be available at our Christmas show on 12/21.
Come on down, see the layout, see Santa and save the $2 shipping!
Ben,
You guys did a great thing. I am proud of all of the club members.
Keep up the great work.
Alan Graziano
You guys win the Hearts of Gold award for sure!
Hi Ben,
That is a beautiful story indeed! What a terrific thing for Sy and the club to get involved with!
The icing on the cake is the birthday party. He must've been so happy. You guy's are a terrific group of people.
God Bless,
Mike R
Ps... Have a Great Christmas to you and all the members, and have a fun time at the Christmas Party tomorrow.
Don't forget to give Louise the hat pin box made out of 2000 match sticks from the Emperor of Japans house!
That is wonderful!
A lot of people have never heard of Shriners' Hospitals and have no idea how helpful they can be to a child who has burns or a movement disability. We have Shriners in the family, and it was a good thing because two of my cousins needed their facilities (Mike had spina bifida and Paul had a vicious form of meningitis when he was a baby; without the hospitals, neither would have lived more than a few hours.) If you know a kid who needs help, and you're unfortunate enough not to know a Shriner, grab your phone book or Google, find the nearest local facility and give them a call.
Really great story, a tip of the hat to all of you who who helped Chase! I'm proud to be associated in a hobby and the forum with such great guys.
Jerry
Love you guys. Great job.

Woops Like I said over on the buy sell you can tell I am a train geek Always have catalogs on my mind
Chase was better at using Legacy at five years old than most people that I've ever seen use it at any age! The expression on his face was absolutely priceless.

NJHR's you guys hit this one out of the par4k. Where do I order a calendar. You all are the best Jim & Colleen R
Those who help the least among us are doing the Lord's work. In this case the story of this little boy, and the NJHR's kind gesture is very moving and will bring joy into the lives of all. It is in fact a great story to tell.
Great job!
doug
Very cool
GREAT STORY and hats off to SY!!!!
Ben,
Thanks for sharing this story with your forum friends. You, your club members and the Shriners deserve a very big thank you. If anybody, can help that young boy, if will be the Shriners.
Wow awesome.
I have been giving donations to the Shriners (through Golf tv tournaments) This makes me want to give more.
Thanks for posting.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas
You NJHirailers are a bunch of good guy train-nuts.
Ordering a calendar now.
What a wonderful bunch you guys are....the best of the best!!!
Alan
I always feel good when I give to the Shriners, but, not as good as I felt when the Shriners (Erie Pa.unit) gave to me.. Back in the early 80’s I had just lost my U.S. Steel backed medical insurance, due to layoffs.
My oldest daughter needed some medical attention, and the Shriners fixed her up.
So if you think the Shriners are a Bunch of Clowns in funny little cars …you’re right! And they put on pretty good circus, too!!
Don’t Buy a Calendar….But Two or Three!!
Thanks for Posting , and Happy Holiday.. NJ HiRailers.
K.C. Jones
This was above and beyond the call. My hat is off to all of you. This is the best.
I am teary eyed! The NJ Hi-Railers and the Shriner's are fantastic. I pray that Chase will get the breaks he needs throughout his life, so he can follow his dreams.
There is an organization at Madison Square Garden called the "Garden of Dreams" . It is there to bring joy to ill and handicapped children by getting them involved in sports events. I only have a small 14' x 28' layout not the huge NHHR creation but I will contact them and try to be a participant. Seeing sick children may bring some sadness my way but hopefully this will be overcome if we can be rewarded with some smiles. The model railroad community is by and large a fortunate one and many of us have the resources to do something good for the community
Wow, choked back some tears on reading this Ben. You NJHRs rule!!!
Stack
Wonderful story. Kudo's to all involved!
You make us all proud to be in the hobby!
That's A wonderful story. Ben, why don't you do it the old-fashioned way and post an address where we can mail a check for a calendar?
That's awesome Ben.
Just saw this thread, great story, great club, like someone else said this is the only thing I miss having to move out of the area.
Jack

You just got to love the Shriner's and all they do; and I love how the NJHR's stepped-up and extended themselves in such a wonderful way!
