Glad to hear everything was a success. Thanks for your efforts and donation to a very worthwhile organization.
Ben,
Great post, there is a reason I run a Masonic Train - Shriner Hospital one great organization, helping Children thru the generations, my father is a 33 Degree Master Mason who now runs his trains with the Supreme Architrect, no doubt he watches from above as the kids enjoyed running the new era trains, his work back in the 50's & 60's with the Boys Club teaching engineering, with O gauge trains, is why he is a 33 Degree MM. What you did is way more important to lots of us Masons than you will ever know.
Thanks for the memories and for helping a little men who needed it.

This is wonderful work by the NJHR's and Shriners hospital. Both groups are on my Christmas list.
Oh yea, I have the calendar and I bought a few of the chances. After reading this thread I feel like more of a winner then the folks who went home with those great prizes.
Here are a couple more pics
Chase Kopczynski, Lorraine, his Mom, Andrew, his Dad, RoyHpezfeld, Charlie Willer, Alan and Irene Linder and man with the child is Mr. Mark, Peerson, Potentate ( he is like the Grand High Exhalted Mystic Ruler ) Great people Had a good time with them
I asked them to bring those little cars they ride at parades the next time Would be a blast driving them around the layout
The guy that made this all possible for Chase and the Shriners ( Our member Sy Mendel ) unfortunately missed the presentation Sy has some type of infection and has been hospitalized I am sure he was there in spirit

I just saw this - wow. Kudos all around. For all the negativity we read in the world, it's nice to see someone do some good! Great job by the Hi Railers & everyone involved. I bet Chase & his family will never forget this
I just came across this story. Touched my heart in a big way. Ben, a big kudos to the NJHR for helping Chase and his family out.
Wow, what a great thing you guys are doing. Gentleman, keep up the good work!
Gentlemen,
O Gauge Train People and Masonic Shriners, it does not get any better than that.
Ben thanks again for setting the stage for all this to happen with your open house, you sir are a world class human being. May the Supreme Architect watch over you and your family always.

Was a great day. Chase had a fantastic time. Sy Mendel was not feeling well but he also should be noted here as well.
I also just saw this.
Ben, we need some high-res pics for the magazine. This needs to be shared beyond this forum!
Rich,
Kevin here, I took all the pictures yesterday. I can post them all to a google site and you can pull what you need. I shot the with a Nikon D600 with a 24 to 120 lens. I did not shoot in RAW mode as I was not planning to publish them, however, since you are asking I would gladly sent them along. Their are 4 to 5 really good shot with Chase, his parents, Bernie, myself, and the folks from the hospital.
You can contact me via email to let me know the best way to get them to you. Each pic is about 10MB. I can sent them to you or you can pull them down off a google site drive I set up. I just need to send you the link and an invite to pull them down

Thanks,
Kevin
WOW! How did I miss this one in December?
How awesome!!! NJHR just keep the good vibes rolling on!!

Do you actually read things first Look right above the last two pics I posted.
With all the troubles around us these days it can be hard at times to feel positive.
But then you read a story about the generosity and kindness of a train club in New Jersey who helped lift some of the burdens for this little boy in a wheelchair. Their initiative to make this happen is amazing and heartwarming.
Not much needs to be said about the Shriners. Their work in saving children's lives and making their and their families lives better is legendary.
We are blessed to have both organizations doing what they do giving a smile back to a sick child.
Ed
This was a great thing the NJHRs did for Chase and the Shriners. The Shriners are a great organization and have helped many children and family's over the years. I can remember growing up in Chicago and going to the annual Shriners Circus. Here in Tampa In conjunction with the Hillsbough County Fair, the Shriners sponsor one morning from 900 am to 1200 free admission and rides for special needs children and their families ( Feb 10th 2015). What is even better is that until 1:30 the Fair is closed to the public ensuring that the children have access to all the rides and facilities. This is a great organization.
Ben,
yes, but I wanted to added it again.
Great job fellows, congrats to all involved.
Check your email!
You can email any additional pictures. That's how Ben sent the first ones and that worked fine.
Please just send jpg files. We don't use RAW images here for anything. No need to use them for what we do with images.
Thanks for your help!
Kudos to the NJ Hi Railers. This little boy will never forget what happened for the rest of his life. Happy memories for him too.
Ben,
I do not know Sy Mendel, I have never had the pleasure of meeting him, however I know lots of men like him who are Shriners, when Sy recovers from his illness, please make sure you tell him that a 32 Degree Master Mason sends his regards & thanks, for all his efforts, with the Shriners Hospital & helping this young man, live a better life. Sy is the kind of man that makes the Masonic organizations so important.
Ben your O gauge train layout must rank very high on the Supreme Architects life plan, congrats on a job well done.
