My friend Dana, AKA Dr. H's Trains, made this 109 inch long trolley bridge and/or overpass which was measured to fit precisely on one side of my layout over an existing main line. It features warning lights and a duel track ready to attach to my Lionel transformer. It will run both trains simultaneously off the same transformer (my choice) I have a Lionel gang car ready to go and will add a 1950's Lionel #60 series trolley ASAP. The bridge having been completed is to be installed Sunday afternoon by Dr. H Trains. this will bring the total number of operating trains on my layout to six. Not too bad for a small 10' x 12' layout.

Dang, Michael, that’s a nice looking bridge. Looking forward to seeing it in place and the trollys running.

Thank you...
That bridge is certainly something to be proud of. It reminds me, somehow, of some of the bridges along the rivers around Pittsburgh. You're going to have plenty of creative fun putting your bridge into place, so I hope we can look forward to more postings from you about this adventure of yours.

Made of wood. Screwed and glued. Lights and powered track included. Not based on any particular design. It is measured precisely to fit in a space on the right side of my layout and will offer trolley service from downtown to my Cancer Center. While made for me, Dana consulted me on each step of construction. The color was suggested by me and approved by him. We had several "models" and "colors" of the bridge to choose from and this one is none but a hybrid. Dana, or DR. H's Trains, as he calls his home business, makes all kinds of structures. This one, and the hospital he made me, a huge 14 story building, were special consignment projects. My layout is getting kind of filled up. (video on Sunday after bridge is installed) But, I hope to engage him in a couple more projects. It is 109" (actual size) long and 12" (actual size) from the ground up to the RR bed. There may be plans to knock out one end and extend the trolley line later. I am very interested in having some tall buildings made.
