Guys,

I know I probably will take alot of razzing for asking after such a long time but here goes nothing! Quite a while ago, when my daughter was just 5 years old in 1995 instead of buying her a colorful girls train from Lionel I bought a Christmas K Line set. Which was at the time more affordable. My experiment about involving her in my world of trains failed and I put them away unfortunately. Fortunately for me, I hadn't spent all that much.

Here is my question, what in fact does K line stand for? Is it a cheaper model of look alike O gauge trains looking like Lionel but not actually being Lionel? Or is it a K mart inspired or EJ Korvette inspired dream of competing with the likes of Lionel.

Just asking, I know K Line went out of business quite some time ago.

GO EASY ON ME!

Mike Maurice
