I wish lionel would have made at least an observation car for this but I like it,,,,i have heard of green Madison cars from Madison hardware would love to have a set of those also !,

Those look like typical Madison cars. Pick up a Williams Madison observation car somewhere or off ebay and just paint and swap ends of the cars. They are virtually identical.
I have this set of Lionel Madison cars made circa 1991. I'm guessing they didn't sell very well and that's probably why Lionel never manufactured an add on observation car. I normally run these on my Christmas layout since they are so colorful with their red roofs.
Heavy weight Lionel passenger car question:
In my 5th Edition Bantam Book "Model Railroading", on page 123, there's a picture of a 3-rail, 6-wheel heavy weight passenger car. The caption of the picture reads:
"A collector's item - Lionel 6-wheel pullmans*, no longer in production, are excellent models of older type passenger cars."
* "pullmans" with lower case "p" is their spelling, not mine.
So... what's the scoop on the car pictured in my Bantam Book? I don't think I ever recall seeing pictures of that car on these forum pages. I know a bit about the "Baby Madison's/Baby Pullman's"... but what's the story about these larger looking 6-wheel Pullman's?
It's one of those "inquiring minds" things.
