Metro North work equipment colors, I suspect.

I was kidding around.  However, since you brought it up for the record.

I live in Poughkeepsie, NY and see their equipment literally everyday.  All the High-Rail trucks are white with a blue stripe running down the side, with the logo in blue.  Same with their road vehicles (railway police and administrative / supervisor, etc.)  Some of their "older" maintenance equipment is "safety yellow/orange" (tie pullers, spikers, etc.)  So not the pale yellow in the photo.

Their locomotives that are NOT painted in a heritage scheme are Red, Blue and Gray.  Matching their Passenger cars which are Gray with a Blue Window stripe.  The passenger cars are usually intermixed with CTDOT cars regardless of which Metro North Line, they sport a Red Stripe rather than Blue.
