I just pulled this out of the box a few hours ago and the PFA sound file doesn’t seem right. On the first sequence there is no diesel sound when the guy starts to talk. On all others the you can hear the diesel in the background. I did an engine and feature reset but no luck. Just want to make sure before I send it back.

what you have is correct, when the engine stops after you press the PFA the diesel sounds turn off so you can hear what the man is saying about it the history of the holiday train.

OK Dave So your PFA is doing what mine is in the video? It seams strange the diesel only cuts off on the 1st sequence. Just wanted to make sure that’s normal.
I just tested mine and the diesel sounds do cut off for the entire sequence of the PFA not just the 1st. Hope this helps.

Mine cuts off only for the first sequence. It has kind of irritated me for a while. I have the Railking version from last year. Maybe a sound file update can fix this issue if newer versions have been corrected. I’m not sure was specific engine Dave has.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I don’t remember any of my other MTH engines with PFA engine sounds cut out during the crew dialogue? I suppose I can live with it.
I got mine a year ago so it would be the first issue and it works the same every time.

I have the same RailKing version from last year and the PFA does the same thing.
I certainly feel better now. It is what it is no big deal.
