I have an engine with ERR components installed set up in my Legacy system as a TMCC engine. I am thinking about buying a Legacy station sounds diner and want to create a "Train".
My question is, will the Legacy station sounds diner operate in this environment?

The ERR engine is going to respond to TMCC1 commands.
The Legacy diner will respond to Legacy (TMCC2) commands for full effects. A limited number of sounds *may* be triggered with TMCC1 commands.
The mixed protocol train, IRC, defaults to the base TMCC1 protocol.

I suppose a work around would be to not include the sound car in a "train" and address it by itself whenever ready to do so.
But luckily I also have a pair of Lionel FP40 Legacy diesels that I can run in a "train" with the sound car.
Problem solved! I am now closer to ordering the station sounds diner!
Update - I just ordered the car from one of our Forum sponsors! It will need to travel cross country to get here but should arrive in time to be my 75th birthday present to myself!
The SS diner works fine with TMCC. You may not be able to trigger some special effects, but the normal announcements work fine.
