Can someone who has a PE scale baggage car take a look and let me know if there are power pickups on the trucks? I don't think there are lights in the baggage car so I'm concerned that there may NOT be pickups. I want to use the pickups to install some electronics in a bag car.

I'm not a Lionel tech guy so transplanting sound cards from other cars into a baggage car is probably a non-starter for me, although I would love having TMCC control. But, I am a retired EE with an avocation for micro controllers and programming, so I'm considering whether I could build my own sound system to put into the car.

Who knows? The PE was certainly very popular. Maybe the research they did said Stationsounds type cars are only of interest to real hobbyists and they don't consider PE buyers part of that group??? I'd bet a bunch of people would buy them if they were available. I would.
