Nice story.

I met my wife on the train too, although I am not a train engineer. Only I had a tough time getting her to have coffee with me at first. It took me two years to get her to go out for coffee . It was not that easy to win her heart.

"There was one thing that Stanczak found on the train and kept — his wife, Mimi. They struck up a conversation once on the train, met for coffee and formed a lifelong bond. And she’s the one who warned him about his language."

That's a great story.  I knew Tom Stanczak way back when I was a conductor for NJT and then as a Locomotive Engineer trainee, he was one of my mentors.  Tom, retired now, was one of the very best and an excellent role model for the job.  His son also works for NJ Transit as a conductor.  I know Tom is enjoying his much deserved retirement.

Thanks for posting it.
