Many years ago I went to the TCA 50th Anniversary Convention.

One evening there was a silent auction and much to my amazement I won this item.

Fast forward several more years and I am once again moving and once again dealing with boxes.

Suddenly, this tiny gem appears.

There are two. I plan on putting one on my Atlas Amtrak Alp to honer the memory of Jim Weaver.

Hi Ben - How you doing?

I have to vacate the home I'm renting and am in the process of buying a basement, I mean a house  in the next few months. A college room-mate has a beautiful rental house I can use 1 block from the water in Narragansett until June.

Long way around of answering your question I am staying in Rhode Island jsut moving into new digs. Hence my question if anyone has experience with PODS that I posted in a seperate thread.

BTW Ben, I always smile as I pass Patterson on the way to visit my parents in Manasquan.

Paul,

That is indeed a very nice find for both reasons. I remember when I was having some issues with an Atlas RS-1, Jim Weaver came to my house to take a look at the engine. This was after I sent it back to Atlas for repair and they found it to be okay. We then figured it might be something on my layout, so Jim made the trip over personally. He wound up swapping it for a replacement engine he brought with him. He was a great guy.
