Some photos I took a couple of weeks ago at the URHS open house in Boonton, NJ a couple of weeks ago...
The GG1s, in ascending size, are a Kato N scale, MTH HO scale, 3rd Rail O scale, and Pennsy Real scale. I had wanted to get my USA Trains G scale in, but didn't want to carry it.
The DLW Heritage model is the MTH one.

They've done a beautiful job on restoring/preserving that prototype. And yes, it was a large engine. It could also accelerate at a fantastic rate and was deadly quiet. sometimes the only warning of an approaching gg-1 was the pinging of the catenary.

Well, they did have that ugly sounding horn if they wanted to use it.
