I know he'll see this, but it's the rest of you that should too.

I purchased a Beep a few weeks ago and it only ran in the forward direction...aside from mentioning it here I emailed Walter at RMT. The amn went out of his way to off ways to check if it was the engine or my power pack...it was the CW80 transformer I was using and not the Beep. Aquiring a ZW 275w friday helped solve the puzzle completely as well as test my new Beefs that arrived on saturday.

One- I've got to thank the man for all his help in trying to resolve the issue...he was ready to send me a UPS return sticker to send it back for repairs but the ZW transformer fixed that.

Two- I know there's those out there who view these RMT Beeps and Beefs as glorified toys and not to be taken seriously, but the detail has got to be seen to be really appreciated as well as the actual power these lil puppies have....my son and I love them.

The company stands behind they're product, and it's a fine product...{can't readily say that about the cw80s transformers at the moment}...and they take the time to make things right. I'm not paid to state the above..it's a testiment of a new loyal customer.

Anyone who's never seen these up close and personnal...I can take pics of my pennsy A-B-A units for you or the christmas Beep I've got if you'd like to see them.

Hope the folks here don't view this dimly since I feel credit is due to a good company...and I thought folks here should know that.

I agree on all counts.  We ordered quite a bit during this sale and are very satisfied with every RMT product.  Simple to operate, great detail and just plain fun.  And Walter is a class act all the way.  We'll be ordering more as the new products roll in for sure.  Thanks again to Walter for such great, affordable products,

daryl

While I agree with the level of detail I also recently purchased a Beep that would only run forward.  For a few minutes.  Then nothing.  I had tried it with the MTH DCS Commander (conventional mode), the MTH Z Commander, and an MRC Tech 3.  Same result.

Just received the Beep back from RMT.   Runs.  Forward only.  Oh well...

I second the shout out to RMT. Picked up an Alaskan bang and several Alaska freight cars (some RMT, some Lionel, some Williams) for my grandson last Christmas at Kleins and he's been running the wheels off his "ALASKA TRAIN" since. The Bang is an incredible little runner easily pulling 7 cars, I may have to get on for myself, kinda jealous he's got an Alaska set and I don't!

I had that same problem with my Beep while using the cw80...even the lift off trick didn't work - always stayed in forward. However, I could get it to move in either direction with my bachmann ez commander{DC} which I thought was odd..when the ZW showed up it confirmed the the issue was with my cw80 and not the engine.

Rick, got anyone near by that could let you try they're trans or track..if I was close I would.
